Judaism has been a part of my identity since I took my first breath. It is a trait that I value and work to educate my community about. I wanted to make sure that this review did not just explain the taste of each item; I also wanted to share some history about each delicacy and why Jewish people, like me, celebrate Hanukkah every year.

Spreading awareness about racial injustice: four SLAM veterans share their experience in the course

Being the first story I ever published on The Redwood Bark website, I gained the experience of covering diverse perspectives early on in my journalism career. This story gave me the courage to dig deep into ways we can all make the world a more inclusive space by promoting anti-racism and racial equality. I am now a part of the Student-Led Anti-Racist Movement (SLAM) after being genuinely impacted by the interviews I gathered and the insight I gained.
